Vaughandale are looking forward to starting a new project with our client Autism East Midlands.

Having successfully completed the Whitegates refurbishment at Sparken Hill in 2022 we are pleased to have been awarded the Worksop Fire Station project.

For over 40 years this station on Eastgate near the town centre has serviced the community, in 2022 the Fire Station went up for sale as a new venue was developed. Plans were submitted in 2023 for the station to be converted into a specialist day centre for adults with autism.

“Within the site Autism East Midlands would provide facilities for lower and higher-functioning persons where life skills and recreational activities can be accessed in a safe space with a team of specialist supervisors and carers on the site.”

This project will see a four month turn around with the building seeing alterations to he existing layout and refurbishment to include new locker rooms, teaching kitchens and more.
