Vaughandale was appointed to deliver the conversion and refurbishment of 4–6 Low Pavement, a Grade II listed building located within Nottingham city centre’s Old Market Square Conservation Area.
The project involved adapting the upper floors from storage space into new accommodation, while retaining the ground floor as a retail unit. Works included the formation of a new entrance lobby, fire and acoustic floor upgrades, replacement sash-style windows to match the existing building, secondary glazing, wall and ceiling finishes, new mechanical and electrical installations, new kitchens and bathrooms, external repairs and replacement flat roof coverings.
As the building sits within a sensitive conservation area, the project required careful planning, close coordination and a sympathetic approach to preserving the character of the existing property.
