From Classroom to Construction: Vaughandale Celebrates a Successful Apprenticeship Event

The Vision West Nottinghamshire College Apprenticeship Event on 12th February 2025 was an exciting and rewarding day for both attendees and the Vaughandale Construction team. 

As part of National Apprenticeship Week, the event highlighted the importance of apprenticeships in nurturing young talent and driving growth in the local construction industry.

With aspiring apprentices, current students, and industry professionals in attendance, Vaughandale showcased the breadth of opportunities available through their tailored apprenticeship programs. Attendees had the chance to speak directly with current apprentices, mentors, and members of the Vaughandale team to learn about the real-world benefits of combining education with hands-on site experience.

An Event Full of Potential and Inspiration

Claire, Operations Coordinator at Vaughandale, shared her thoughts on the event:

“We had a fantastic day meeting so many enthusiastic and talented individuals eager to get started in the construction industry. Events like this allow us to give people a real insight into what working in construction is like and how our apprenticeships provide a supportive environment for them to grow and thrive. The questions we received showed just how engaged the attendees were, and we’re excited about the potential future members of the Vaughandale family.”

The event wasn’t just about showcasing career options—it was about creating connections and building excitement for what the future could hold. Vaughandale’s current apprentices were on hand to share their experiences, from learning on the job to working on key projects like historical restorations and community spaces.
