That’s why we were proud to host a Building Safety Act training course at our Mansfield office last week, delivered by the expert team at 3B Training.
Why the Building Safety Act Matters
The Building Safety Act 2022 represents a major shift in how we manage safety and accountability in construction, particularly for higher-risk buildings.
The act introduces stricter regulations, clearer roles, and increased responsibilities for those involved in the design, construction, and management of buildings.
As a forward-thinking business, we want to ensure that our team, partners, and wider network understand the implications of the act, not just to remain compliant, but to help raise the bar on safety standards across the board.
Hosting the Course at Our Mansfield Office
Our recently refurbished Mansfield office provided the perfect venue for the training session.
With a comfortable setup, light refreshments, and a welcoming atmosphere, we were delighted to open our doors to fellow professionals for a day of learning, discussion, and insight.
Delivered by knowledgeable trainer Paul Sutton, the course was informative, clear, and highly relevant to our day-to-day operations. Attendees ranged from site managers and project coordinators to members of our compliance and health & safety teams, all eager to better understand the scope and impact of the legislation.
Course Content: What We Learned
The course covered key areas of the Building Safety Act, including:
- The purpose and scope of the Act
- Duties of the Principal Designer and Principal Contractor
- The role of the new Building Safety Regulator
- The implications for duty holders throughout the design, build, and occupation phases
- Transitional arrangements and timelines for compliance
For many of our attendees, it provided welcome clarification on complex regulatory changes and real-life examples that brought the theory into practical focus.

A Positive Step Forward for the Industry
We’re strong believers that understanding regulations isn’t just about ticking boxes — it’s about creating safer, better-quality environments for everyone involved.
The course reinforced that message and gave our team greater confidence in what needs to be done to operate effectively under the new framework.
It was particularly reassuring to see how aligned many of our current practices are with the goals of the Building Safety Act. That said, there were still important areas for improvement and action, and we’ve already started internal conversations about how we can refine our processes further.
A Word from One of the Attendees
“The course was incredibly useful — clear, engaging, and relevant to what we do every day on-site. It broke down some of the more technical parts of the Building Safety Act in a way that was easy to understand and apply. I came away with a much clearer picture of my responsibilities and the importance of getting safety information right from day one.”

Looking Ahead
This training marks just one part of our ongoing commitment to continuous improvement, professional development, and building safer environments.
As legislation continues to evolve, so too will our practices, and we’re excited to be taking these steps forward as a team.
