Vaughandale Construction believes Apprentices are essential for the future of the Construction industry and have been supporting National Apprentice Week.
Construction Apprenticeships are a great way of building up work skills, getting valuable on-site experience and gaining a knowledge of the industry first hand.
Here’s some feedback from our own apprentices:
‘I enjoy collaborating with my colleagues on site; we build friendships and trust each other to use the tools we need for each job.’

‘I learn from my colleagues and mentor who have been working as Joiners for years, as well as getting a college education.’

Our level two Bricklaying Apprentice James, (below) has been with Vaughandale throughout his learning journey.
‘I wanted to study bricklaying as I am interested in building different things with my hands, and I thought this would fit perfectly. Working through my apprenticeship, I enjoy building extensions using both brick and block work.’

We also have two, Quantity Surveyor Apprentices; George and Joe (below).
They work closely with our clients, suppliers and sites. As part of their apprenticeship, they gain experience of attending site meetings, visiting clients’ premises and residential properties, to provide personalised quotes and check on the progress of live projects.
‘Every day is different, we are keen to learn and achieve our qualifications, there is nothing like on-the-job experience for learning and problem solving.’
George, Level 6 – Chartered Surveyor (Quantity Surveyor)
